I have always been incredibly passionate about reading.  I just could not help myself.  It all happened after I check out my first book from the local library in the small town in Maryland where I grew up.  When I read that book I was in another world.  It was a world that was designed by the author, but put together inside my head.  It is like I was an engineer, and only at the age of seven!  

Still to this day I cannot get enough books and reading.  There is nothing better than ending a long day with a good book and entering into a world that is not your own, but one that you come to know very well and be a part of.

And what sadness I feel for those who do truly understand the joy that a captivating book can bring to them.  I wish that I could influence everyone everywhere to really read and take from it a lesson or a journey.  For that is really what most reading is about, right?  It is a journey that you take in your mind.  Look below to see some really neat facts about reading, and then go out and get a book and READ!
